House extension and refurbishment, Hackney, London

Roof- and garden extension

The house was reorganised and extended to add an en-suite bedroom in the loft, redesign the kitchen with a new dining space, interconnecting through steps with the front lounge where a trellis provides a niche for a buddha statuette.  The small lawned rear garden was redesigned as a hard landscaped patio inspired by japanese gardens, providing a tranquil backdrop for the large sliding window and reading/ sitting ledge of the new dining space.
